New Survey Shows Most Plan to Sit Out Black Friday

Morning Consult surveyed over 2,000 adults about their concerns and expectations for Black Friday and the holiday shopping season and the results show that the coronavirus pandemic has accelerated various trends regarding Black Friday’s overall importance to shoppers. According to their survey, 52% plan to sit Black Friday out entirely this year and only 12% expect to shop in physical stores on that day. 70% of the survey respondents said they have concerns about being too close to people in stores and others not taking the virus seriously when shopping.The survey predictably shows that online shopping will be huge this year as many who have typically been leery of shopping online even plan to do so more this year.
